Our team is active in the community and shares a common goal of wanting to help others. Pet+E.R. has partnered with some of the most trusted and credible organizations in the Baltimore-Washington area to provide critical care for pets – and is the preferred place to go when an animal has an emergency or is in need of the highest level of care.
Pet+E.R. also has strong partnerships with more than 131 veterinarians across the state of Maryland who regularly refer their patients to Pet+E.R. for emergency and critical care needs.
Through Pet+E.R.’s partnership with CVRC (Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center), specialists are on site during normal business hours to handle critical issues in cardiology, oncology, internal medicine, neurology, dentistry and surgery. For more information, visit the CVRC website.

Pet+E.R. in the Community
Pet+E.R. donates thousands of dollars in sponsorship funds each year towards events benefitting the Maryland SPCA, BARCS, Show Your Soft Side, the Baltimore Humane Society, Animal Advocates of Howard County and more. We also work closely with dozens of local rescue groups to provide emergency medical care for the pets in their care, providing discounts and volunteer time that make their life-saving missions easier to accomplish. Look for us at community events throughout the season, including the Maryland SPCA March for the Animals, Show Your Soft Side’s Pawject Runway, BARCStoberfest, and as the official sponsor of the Baltimore Orioles Pet Calendar!
In 2015, Pet+E.R. became the exclusive emergency medical provider for the Maryland SPCA’s shelter and foster animals. Pet+E.R. and the Maryland SPCA partner to save lives at the annual March for the Animals and work together to train volunteers and shelter employees on how to handle emergency medical needs. Pet+E.R. offers training to the SPCA staff and volunteers doctor time to perform much needed spay and neuter surgeries on Maryland SPCA shelter pets.
